For over a decade, the Glasnevin FC Academy has been introducing young players from the local community to the beautiful game. As the first step on every player's football journey, our Academy is proudly built on the foundations of The Diggers Way.

A Positive First Step into Football
At Glasnevin FC, we believe football is about much more than results. Our Academy focuses on helping children develop a love for the game through learning, enjoyment, and participation. We encourage players to play passing football, develop their technical skills, and build confidence in a positive and supportive environment.
As a community football club, we are committed to player development at each child's own pace. Rather than focusing on winning at all costs, we concentrate on creating strong football foundations, fostering friendships, and helping every player reach their potential while enjoying the game.
Boys & Girls Academy
Our Academy welcomes both boys and girls aged 4 to 7 years and provides a fun, safe, and engaging environment where young players can learn, grow, and develop their skills.
The Academy is divided into:
- Junior Academy (U6)
- Senior Academy (U7)
Training sessions take place on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, with age-appropriate coaching delivered by our dedicated coaches and volunteers.

Glasnevin FC takes great pride in being a community football club. For more than ten years, our Academy has provided local boys and girls with the opportunity to experience football in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
